Vinifera, an exciting new destination for the Island’s coffee and wine lovers has opened in St Helier

Vinifera is now open for business bringing a stylish new coffee bar and wine shop to discerning Jersey residents. Initially opening from 07:00 until 18:00 with late night shopping on Thursday, an additional license is currently in the pipeline that will see this superbly located venture remaining open in the evening as a wine bar.

As the only Jersey resident in possession of the Advanced Sommelier Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers, manager and joint owner Amar Boudajoui knows a thing or two about wine. This level of expertise means that Vinifera is offering a dynamic mix of 400 bins of carefully hand-picked and delicious wines from all over the world.

Coffee lovers will also be pleased to hear that it is the first place in Jersey to offer ‘The Daily Blend’, a popular mix from the well-known London roastery and restaurant business ‘Caravan Coffee Roasters’. Each cup lovingly crafted by Master Barista, Diogo Freitas, using Vinifera’s bespoke ‘La Marzocco’ machine from Italy.

It has been a long-time dream of Amar to open his own wine bar and shop. Vinifera has been made possible with the help of a partnership with Mick Loughlin and Louisa Humphrey from Artizen Design, who have been responsible for the fit-out of the venue in just five short weeks from the point that the site became available. Amar, Louise and Mick worked together to carefully produce a beautifully designed interior that will be a welcome addition to the Jersey food and wine scene.

Amar says:

‘Vinifera is the culmination of the passion and hard work of myself and my partners at Artizen Design. Our goal has always been to offer Islanders a stylish and sophisticated venue to purchase and enjoy the best quality coffee and wine. We are currently pursuing the next step in our plan to open as a wine bar serving excellent food, and ultimately offer an alfresco seating area for the warmer months! In the meantime, I would like to invite people to visit Vinifera, try our coffee and get some help choosing their Christmas wines.’
